Main purpose of the job:

The main purpose of a Senior HR Generalist's job is to oversee and manage various aspects of human resources within an organization. Their role is critical in ensuring that the company's HR policies and practices align with its overall goals and objectives. 

Role and Activity   

  1. Employee Relations: 
  • Address employee relations issues and concerns, including conflicts resolution and disciplinary actions. 
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes. 
  • Mediate between employees and management to foster a positive work environment. 
  1. Performance Management: 

 

  • Oversee performance appraisal processes, providing guidance to managers and employees on performance feedback and goal-setting. 
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate relevant programs to enhance employee performance. 

 

  1. HR Policies and Compliance: 

 

  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards. 
  • Stay abreast of labor laws and regulations, advising management on necessary actions to maintain compliance. 
  1. HR Data Management: 
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, including employee information, attendance, and performance metrics. 
  • Generate reports and analytics to support HR decision-making and strategic planning. 
  1. HR Strategy and Planning: 
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives. 

 

  • Provide input on workforce planning, talent acquisition strategies, and succession planning. 

 

  1. Legal Compliance and Risk Management: 
  • Ensure HR practices comply with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards. 
  • Mitigate HR-related risks by proactively identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate measures.

WORK ENVIRONEMENT    

In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast paced.     

The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens.      

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is $90,000 per year.
