Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday 1st shift – Saturdays as needed


United Ag & Turf NE is looking for a Service Manager who will be responsible for managing the operations of the Service Department at the branch to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other leaders and employees in the store to ensure building operations remain safe, secure, and well-maintained.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage all parts personnel to maintain high levels of efficiency, knowledge, and customer service.
  • Promote positive department culture through training, communication, and appearance standards.
  • Monitor and utilize the automated inventory control system effectively.
  • Establish realistic sales goals and gross profit targets for the department.
  • Drive aggressive parts sales and implement effective merchandising and advertising within budget.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient service and support.
  • Attend store, industry, and community events to represent the dealership.
  • Manage costs by ensuring full value for parts purchased, minimizing waste, and obtaining competitive bids.
  • Control inventory investment and monitor inventory turnover and obsolescence rates.
  • Implement robust security measures for purchasing, shipping/receiving, and inventory control.
  • Solve operational issues proactively and optimize department space and layout.
  • Ensure that at least one person is cross-trained to perform the Parts Manager role.
  • Conduct annual performance and wage reviews in coordination with the General Manager.
  • Foster career growth and development opportunities for department employees.
  • Regularly participate in leadership training and management development programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements

What it Takes

  • 2+ years of experience in Parts Department operations
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Computer literacy and comfort with inventory systems
  • Basic understanding of financial principles relating to parts operations
  • Ability to analyze internal reports and act on findings
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • 2 years of equipment industry or service experience

Education

  • High school diploma, or GED
