Job Duties:
Maintains and performs general repairs on tunnel and movable bridge engines and generators. This work includes, but is not limited to, the repair and maintenance of couplings, bearings, shafting, cables, sleeves, apron ramps, counterweights, hydraulic lines, hydraulic cylinders, differentials, gear drives, grid decks, hydraulic pumps, winches, and other related movable bridges and tunnel components and equipment.
Makes general repairs to interior and exterior of bridge houses.
Performs manual operations on movable bridges.
Performs traffic control on bridges.
Position Specific Details:
A valid Louisiana Class “D” Chauffeur’s License is required.
Appointment Type: Probational or promotional
Compensation:
Trades Apprentice $16.06 hourly
Maintenance Repairer 1 $17.18 hourly
Maintenance Repairer 2 $19.67 hourly
The maximum monthly salary for the Maintenance Repairer 2 is $6,136.00.
