SUMMARY
Responsibilities are to set up and operate packaging equipment as per written specifications and/or verbal instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Obtain packaging materials needed to run machines
• Set-up machines following cGMP and THI procedures and specifications
• Submit necessary maintenance documentation as required
• Perform preventive maintenance on packaging equipment
• Reports process or equipment problems to supervisor; performs minor or basic troubleshooting
• Ensures work instructions, equipment log books, and other relevant records are current.
• Monitors process and equipment and makes necessary adjustments to maintain work instructions specifications.
• Monitors product quality
• Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including environmental and safety rules and regulations.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or one-year certificate from college or technical school
Desired: Minimum of 1 year working in a manufacturing environment as an operator
Considered: No previous experience in a manufacturing facility
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematical calculations and applications.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
