If you are a Software Engineering professional who recently graduated or are early in your career and are looking for an opportunity to gain experience, Emerson has an exciting role for you! Based out of Shakopee, MN, you will have the opportunity to apply and enhance your skills in a full-stack software development role supporting Analytical product manufacturing site implementations with strong collaboration and support from our global team of developers. This role provides a wide breadth of both code and database design and developmental opportunities in fast-paced, dynamic Manufacturing environments.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Work on full-stack software development using C#.Net and SQL
  • Support a custom in-house Manufacturing Execution Software application and database
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering teams to develop software features to improve manufacturing efficiencies, quality, and automation
  • Collaborate with a global team of software engineers on projects, production support, and software maintenance activities
  • Develop and support software integration with equipment, devices, and systems
  • Develop and document software designs using Object-Oriented techniques
  • Manage source code using TFS Version Control and Azure DevOps
  • Investigate and resolve the manufacturing production software issues
  • Share ideas and solutions for improvements and innovations for the supported software
  • Perform basic database administration on Windows OS and SQL servers
  • Support and maintain production analytics for critical to quality manufacturing processes

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or related
  • Experience in software development and a good understanding of object-oriented design and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools and the Windows operating system
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Working knowledge of C#, C++, C, .Net, SQL
  • Familiarity with TFS Version Control and Azure DevOps
  • Ability to travel internationally

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $72,000-$96,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
