Nextern is looking for a dedicated Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team. This position involves hands-on work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components used in our medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical theory, safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot various electrical issues efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify defects and implement effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support new product development and prototype testing.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical installation and repair, preferably in a manufacturing or medical device setting.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications such as Journeyman Electrician credentials are a plus.

The expected pay range for this position is between $28 - $34/hour, based upon candidates' skills, experience, and qualifications.
