GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Alliance Acute Outpatient Program (AOP) provides mental health services for clients with acute presenting concerns, substance use disorders, and have frequent crisis involvement. The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team provides non-traditional community based mental health treatment to promote recovery and community integration to individuals who may be experiencing serious mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and other psychosocial stressors. The CCBHC Acute Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for completing intakes, building a caseload, seeing all clients on caseload for therapy, meeting agency-wide productivity standards, and maintaining high-quality level of service and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED TRAINING:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work from an approved university training program.
- Must be eligible for any/all credentialing required by regulatory and funding sources.
- Previous experience working in a community mental health setting is preferred.
- Must be licensed as an LPC-MHSP or an LCSW or be license eligible.
- This person must also demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a treatment setting dealing with emotionally or socially disturbed individuals. This individual will be part of two multi-disciplinary teams will require collaboration and consultation with team members of various roles as well as ability to maintain positive relationships community stakeholders and must demonstrate an ability to use mature judgment in problem solving.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide therapy services in an outpatient setting.
- Complete intakes and provide fully supported mental health diagnoses.
- Complete individual, family, or group therapy services for all clients on caseload.
- Complete Treatment Plans for clients on caseload or at intake.
- Have knowledge of, or complete training in, required Evidence-Based Practices designated by the AOP Supervisors.
- Provide regular workforce development training for other clinicians in the agency, either virtually or in-person.
- Assist with intakes as assigned or requested.
- Understand and monitor outcomes for clients served.
- Complete both THL and BHSN services as needed through health promotion, transitional care services, providing member and family support, referring to social supports, and coordination with other providers.
- Demonstrate a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to treatment.
- Involve family members and natural supports as available/appropriate in treatment process.
- Maintain positive and collaborative community and peer relationships.
- Achieve agency standard productivity goals by providing designated number of monthly contacts as a high-quality service.
- Maintain high quality, collaborative documentation on all visits provided.
- Other duties as assigned.
PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: In order to appropriately accomplish his/her duties, the person occupying this position must maintain effective relationships with AOP team peers and supervisors, AOP clients, and community members.
