QualDerm Partners is proud to serve the Greensboro, NC area, providing exceptional dermatology and aesthetic services. We are currently seeking a dedicated Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be an essential part of our patient care team, supporting our Mohs surgeons and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with medical professionals to assist in Mohs surgical procedures, manage patient interactions, and perform essential clinical and administrative tasks. If you have a passion for dermatology and patient care, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by obtaining medical histories and taking vital signs.
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures, ensuring that all instruments and supplies are available and sterile.
  • Provide post-operative instructions and care to patients, answering any questions they may have.
  • Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment, following strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, maintaining patient records, and liaising with insurance providers.
  • Educate patients regarding their conditions and the Mohs surgical process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a medical assistant or surgical role, especially in dermatology or Mohs surgery.
  • Familiarity with surgical instruments and aseptic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, prioritizing patient comfort and care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and general office software.
