Are you a natural relationship-builder with an outgoing personality and ready to use your expertise to develop, plan, and organize business services and community relations?   As the Community Relations Manager, your role is to grow the Credit Union’s member base and deepen the community relationships within All IN Credit Union’s market. 

 

Your role:

  1. Work with VP of Marketing to plan, develop, and oversee corporate business development and community relations strategy.
  1. Develop, execute, and track strategic initiatives to support member, loan, asset, and product/service growth in every market.
  2. Effectively manage, lead, coach, and develop Business Development Officers, ensuring team efforts align with the organization’s strategic initiatives. 
  3. Enhance team effectiveness through open communication, proactive problem-solving, implementing creative alternatives, and providing positive leadership.
  4. Monitor and effectively manage the annual Community Relations budget by planning for expenditures and tracking costs. 
  5. Expand existing vendor relationships and initiate effective strategies for members, employees, and business partners by utilizing data to identify, develop, and manage strategic relationships with representatives of communities within the credit union’s service areas, including civic, local government, and sponsor organizations.
  6. Manage, track, and report metrics for Community Relations initiatives and evaluate credit union community participation and sponsorships to maximize opportunities that build the credit union’s brand and increase membership
  7. Analyze changes in the business community and monitor market trends and competitor data to ensure the utilization of best practices.
  8. Plan and execute all aspects of volunteer events, financial education, and other community relations initiatives, including researching new opportunities for credit union involvement in communities, making purchases, and managing BDO activities. 
  9. Work with Marketing Manager, Business Development Officers and Branch Managers to provide timely responses to sponsorship requests and ensure that all requests are fulfilled in a timely manner including payment, volunteer scheduling and availability of needed materials.
  10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What you bring to the team:

Experience: Two years or more of management, community relations, or business development experience

Education: BS or BA in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration or related degree is preferred but not required

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work necessitates frequent personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization to give or obtain information, build relationships, or solicit cooperation. Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment are required.

Other Skills: Knowledge of BSA/OFAC compliance and the ability to assist members with questions concerning BSA.  Complete yearly BSA training.
