Refrigeration Technician bei Ruiz Foods

COMPENSATION:

• $25 - $35/hr (DOE)

SCHEDULE:

• Graveyard (10:30pm - 7:00am)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily refrigeration checks of the ammonia systems, which includes compressor, re-circulators and glycol systems and condenser checks and water chemistry.
• Daily boiler inspections and water chemistry, air compressor inspection and oil level checks.
• Responsible for roof / air unit checks for makeup and exhaust at the facility.
• Freezer defrosting and preflight, as well as wastewater checks.
• Daily startup of system, observe operation, read and record gauges and instruments and be able to identify areas that need attention while observing gauges.
• Adjust mechanisms such as valves, controls and pumps to control the level of fluid, pressure and temperature in system.
• Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components.
• Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:          

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum of two (2) years of Ammonia Refrigeration knowledge or currently working in the trade.
• RETA certification preferred.
• HVAC knowledge a plus.
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Good attendance record.
• Must have knowledge of spiral freezers and engine room.
• Able to read and understand refrigeration and electrical blueprints.
• Must be flexible to work on weekends, holidays and overtime.
