Position Summary
We are seeking a Property Claims Adjuster to join our in-office team in Sandy Draper, UT. This full-time role involves handling residential and commercial property insurance claims across the U.S. You will investigate, evaluate, and resolve homeowner, dwelling, condominium, renters, and commercial property claims while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Although primarily in-office, occasional travel is required for field inspections, settlement conferences, mediations, and CAT duty during high-volume periods.

Key Responsibilities
Investigate and determine coverage for a wide range of residential and commercial property claims.
Analyze and apply policy language accurately based on claim details.
Draft and issue professional written correspondence, including reservation of rights letters, disclaimers, and settlement communications.
Communicate effectively with policyholders, contractors, attorneys, and vendors.
Utilize tools such as remote photo capture apps, independent adjusters, and damage estimating software (e.g., Xactimate).
Set and adjust claim reserves and make appropriate indemnity and expense payments.
Conduct thorough claim investigations, both desk-based and in the field as needed.
Supervise and coordinate with outside resources to support claim resolution.
Identify and pursue subrogation and salvage opportunities.
Work closely with SIU on potential fraud cases.
Manage legal expense and proactively handle claim disputes to avoid unnecessary litigation.
Participate in CAT duty and field inspections when required.
Maintain all required adjuster licenses and complete continuing education.
Ensure compliance with Unfair/Fair Claims Practice Acts and company best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of property claims handling experience preferred.
Professional designations (e.g., CPCU, AIC) or progress toward them are a plus.
Solid knowledge of insurance principles, estimating, and residential/commercial construction.
Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating platforms.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Strong knowledge of applicable claims regulations and insurance codes.
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple claims efficiently.
Strong customer service orientation and professionalism under pressure.
