The Engineering Specialist will play a key role in driving operational excellence by analyzing machine and process efficiencies, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing technical solutions. This position supports manufacturing operations through equipment optimization, troubleshooting, and documentation enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiency Analysis & Improvement:
Evaluate machine and process performance to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements. Lead and support continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce waste. - Technical Support:
Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting machine maintenance issues and minimizing production downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges impacting output and reliability. - Equipment Installation & Model Launches:
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Support the launch of new models by ensuring equipment readiness and process alignment. - Documentation Development:
Create and update machine maintenance documentation to improve clarity, consistency, and usability for operations and maintenance teams. - Quality Support:
Address quality-related concerns by supporting manufacturing and inspection equipment improvements. Work closely with quality teams to ensure compliance and enhance product integrity.
Previous experience in the following areas is highly desired:
· PLC troubleshooting
· Excellent Computer Skills
· Hydraulics Maintenance and Troubleshooting
· Pneumatics Maintenance and Troubleshooting
· AutoCAD design
· Project Management
· Robotics
· Reading Electrical and Hydraulic schematics/diagrams
Candidate must be motivated and work well in a team environment. At least an A.A.S Technical degree or equivalent Manufacturing Engineering experience. Have excellent spoken and written communication skills. Be able to lead projects and delegate items to Technicians. Resin Injection experience would be considered a plus.
