Description
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison with student information system provider and primary contact for district users of system requesting assistance, training and troubleshooting assistance;
- Assist in annual school setup of student information system data, coding, fields and templates needed for various federal and state reports;
- Assist all building staff and users with start and end of year procedures including grade setup and reporting, rollovers, and other functions;
- Create reports as requested by district and administrative staff;
- Create and/or assist in creation of custom modifications in and to student information system and grade book system;
- Provide regular and timely training and direction to staff requirements, updates and changes;
- Collect data and assist district administrators in preparing and submitting other state and federal reports that are based on information derived from student information system and/or gradebook systems;
- Update data as necessary to remain current with state and federal requirements and mandates;
- Provide back-up support for student enrollment;
- Work with auditors to provide accurate information;
- Participation in training as needed to maintain knowledge of reporting requirements and system functionality;
- Maintain effective working relationships with district users and staff;
- Regular and timely attendance;
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Pupil Services or his/her designee.
- Manages, generates, and distributes student demographic, scheduling, academic progress, testing, and disciplinary incidents data;
- Maintains records of student withdrawal from school, record of reasons for student withdrawal, and students’ planned destination. Prepares periodic statistical reports;
- Facilitates transfer of student information between schools, including record requests;
- Works with a variety of departments to accurately input, maintain, reconcile, and report data;
- Assures coordination of both verbal and written information to district employees;
- Completes special projects, as assigned;
- Responsible for facilitating the enrollment process of students;
- Collaborates with the ITC to ensure accuracy of data and remediate any program issues;
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- General knowledge of computers, computer commands, peripherals, and various operating systems.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of attendance regulations and student accounting procedures.
- Sound knowledge of district enrollment practices and procedures.
- Considerable knowledge of data management, policies, and procedures.
- Considerable knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
- Ability to apply independent judgment in correcting data errors or omissions.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality regarding student information in accordance with federal privacy laws, and any additional standards required by the state or local school district.
- Ability to communicate using standard conventions with school personnel, parents, central office staff, and outside entities, including local judicial or governmental agencies.
- Able to maintain a positive attitude and a solution-based approach to challenges within EEG’s schools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Support the philosophy and mission of EEG.
- Satisfactory completion of local, state, and federal criminal history check.
