    POSITION SUMMARY    - 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is hands on with in house construction projects to maintain and update commercial buildings in a manufacturing environment. HVAC, plumbing, framing, electrical, masonry, drywall etc. experience recommended. Willing to mentor if candidate has a some background in these areas.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

    Assist and /or lead with in house construction projects in a timely manner.

    Assist with HVAC, plumbing, framing, electrical, masonry, dry wall etc.

    Commercial building and installation. 

    Take an active role in safety. Assist with implementing and suggesting improvements.  Meet with contractors and review safety policies and procedures.

    Participate in research and investigations for new products.  

    Assist with preventative maintenance including changing filters, performing visual inspections, and replacing parts as needed.

    Identify maintenance or repair items that need to be resolved and prioritized with Manager of Engineering Services to assure facility care.

    Assist with winter snow removal to keep employees safe, as needed.

    Other misc. duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:    High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:    3 plus years of experience in maintenance or construction.

Specific Experience:    HVAC, plumbing, framing, electrical, masonry, drywall etc.

Other Requirements:    30 hour OSHA Construction Course completed within 6 months of employment.
