The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director is a key strategic leader responsible for driving the company’s financial planning processes, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance analysis. This role partners closely with senior leadership across departments to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, optimize financial performance, and support long-term growth.
Responsibilities:- Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting process, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of actual results vs. budget, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, offering financial insight and recommendations to guide decision-making.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reviews, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis for key business initiatives, capital investments, and cost optimization efforts.
- Provide pricing support by analyzing labor costs, utilization rates, and market benchmarks to develop pricing that ensures profitability and competitiveness.
- Coordinate with accounting and other departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Drive automation and improvement of FP&A processes and tools for greater efficiency and scalability.
- Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership and board meetings.
- Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, providing coaching, development, and performance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
