Job Overview
The ERP Specialist is responsible for providing support and oversight, as well as providing functional and technical support related to the software systems operated and utilized by the Department of Human Resources and Talent Development (HRTD). The incumbent will be a subject matter expert on HRTD and/or Benefits business processes, as well as the technical tools used to execute them. The ERP Specialist will participate in team projects to operate and enhance system functionality and business processes.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Acts as the initial point of contact for customer issues related to human resource systems; performs regular duties such as monitoring processes, troubleshooting system errors, resolving data issues, and resolving trouble tickets; provides system support for any changes made to the existing business environment.
- Assists in developing human resource system solutions to meet business needs, detailing business requirements, documenting standard operating procedures, and managing interfaces. Collaborates with team members, vendors/providers, and information technology teams.
- Provides end-user assistance and training related to Human Resources and Benefits technology tools and business processes; works closely with cross-functional teams such as Employee Benefits, Payroll, and Budget to ensure accuracy and successful delivery of work product.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer support; works with team members about project statuses and the resolution of system issues; performs appropriate follow-up and ensures progress on work items.
- Participates in system enhancements, patches, and upgrades for the HCM and Benefits modules within the ERP.
- Supports several key projects such as the annual issuance of over 10,000 contracts, memos, assignment letters, and work agreements.
- Prepares weekly & monthly reports; automate reports; and perform ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience
Three years of proven work experience as an HR Business Analyst or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of management information systems; standard office practices and procedures; standard word processing and spreadsheet software; as well as the safekeeping and storage of confidential files
- Demonstrated ability to maintain an HRIS database, to perform office work quickly and efficiently; to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively; to communicate effectively; to work cooperatively with others; to work under pressure and/or with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to complete complex calculations, apply practices and regulations, and create reports
- Has the ability to implement technology solutions and work with multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in ERP configuration, administration, and user management.
- Knowledge of SQL, business intelligence, workflow configurations and support, and system integrations.
- Experience with system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experienced in release management and system maintenance, including the planning, coordination, and execution of system upgrades, patches, and deployments.

Telework is defined as completing one's duties and responsibilities at a site other than one's assigned duty location. Employees who are non-exempt and are teleworking will work their required scheduled hours and gain approval from their supervisor if they work more than 8 hours a day or more than 40 hours in a workweek. Teleworking privileges can be amended, changed, or revoked based upon the performance of the employee, as well as the needs of Loudoun County Public Schools.
