Internal Sales Representative

Department: Sales - 25 Location: Canton, GA

Company Overview

UAC supplies aircraft manufacturers and their subcontractors worldwide and has served the aircraft industry for over four decades. UAC specializes in 2000- and 7000-series alloys and offers a full range of alloys and tempers that can be tailored to a customer�s particular application.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Exercise and promote safety
  • Facilitate customer service in a manner consistent with satisfaction of UAC as a key supplier
  • Interface with customers through phone contact and occasional visitations
  • Service existing accounts, including quotations, customer orders, delivery schedules, status and product questions
  • Maintain customer files and coordinates customer requests with appropriate departments
  • Facilitate proper resolution of customer complaints or rejections
  • Handle quotations, order entries and related transactions accurately and expeditiously
  • Serve as liaison between customers with special requests or problems and appropriate UAC personnel
  • Facilitate changes requested by customers relating to parts and order requirements
  • Coordinate customer requirements with production schedules and UAC lead times
  • Work independently
  • Work closely with various internal departments, such as Engineering, Production Control and Quality Assurance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Associates Degree
  • Minimum Experience: Computer skills are essential; Customer Service experience is preferred
  • Certifications Required: None

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; negotiation skills are helpful; must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to quickly interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral or written form with appropriate sense of priorities and urgency
  • Physical Abilities: Consistent with normal office environment including extensive computer usage; requires occasional visits to customers� plant facilities; awareness of safety concerns and adherence to company safety rules are required

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: 1st shift

Safety

All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employee must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
