The Wells Intervention Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and providing engineering support for well intervention activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, and offshore personnel to optimize well performance, maintain integrity, and support production enhancement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed well intervention programs, including operational procedures, equipment requirements, and risk assessments.
- Provide engineering support during planning and execution of well intervention operations (wireline, slickline, coiled tubing, stimulation, well testing, and fishing).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements regarding HSE and well integrity.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for proposed interventions, identifying risks and mitigation measures.
- Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and materials forecasts for intervention operations.
- Monitor and analyze intervention performance, providing lessons learned and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support the development of long-term well integrity and production optimization strategies.
- Liaise with contractors, service companies, and internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational needs.
- Contribute to incident investigations and root cause analysis related to well operations.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field..
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of well intervention techniques, well integrity principles, and downhole tools.
- Good understanding of industry standards (API, ISO, NORSOK) and well control principles
