JOB TITLE:          Early College Student Success Program Coordinator

DEPARTMENT:     Early College

REPORTS TO:      Director of Early College

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Early College Student Success and Program Coordinator supports Early College students academically and assists the Director of Early College with program operations. This role includes monitoring student progress, providing transfer resources, and removing barriers to success. It also involves delivering excellent service to students, instructors, and partners during enrollment and registration, while maintaining efficient systems and continuously improving the Early College experience.


 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience working in K-12 preferred

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Academic Student Support

  • Provide academic advising for Early College students, maintaining an assigned caseload by school.

  • Assist with annual course registration for returning students.

  • Advise pathway-seeking students (Associate, MTA, Bachelor's, etc.) on program requirements, course selection, transferability, financial aid implications, internships, and graduation planning.

  • Serve as an academic coach for at-risk students as assigned.

  • Track and monitor student academic progress, including high school education plans and SOS reports.

  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions in the Warrior 360 retention system.

  • Offer holistic support to help students adjust socially and emotionally to the collegiate environment.

  • Share academic progress updates with high school counselors.

Program Support

  • Participate in student engagement and retention initiatives, including the W360 Committee.

  • Distribute, collect, and process required documentation from school partners (e.g., course lists, grades, rosters).

  • Plan events that support Early College recruitment and community building (e.g., welcome experiences).

  • Coordinate and facilitate Early College Warrior Day(s) in partnership with the Office of Admissions.

  • Attend Early College-related conferences as needed.

  • Collaborate with Admissions, the Registrar, Student Financial Services, and school districts on early college-specific admissions, transcripts, and billing processes.

  • Coordinate textbook orders with participating school districts.

  • Support the Early College Director in reviewing and revising core Early College curriculum, proofreading/editing MOUs, and developing promotional materials and info sheets.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Ability to work cooperatively with administrators and other staff
  • Desire to improve the quality of education provided to all students
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive change and achieve results
  • Ability to define problems, analyze data, and outline valid conclusions and action steps
  • Some knowledge of CTE, Early College, Small Learning Community, and Workforce Development best practices preferred
  • Supportive of the University mission.  Indicators of this support include a demonstrated personal faith in Jesus Christ and being active in a local church.
