Littelfuse is looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to direct materials. You will play a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services, as well as supporting cross-functional teams in product development projects.

This is an on-site position based in our Dole office, reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager.

About the job:

Handle procurement activities for direct materials:

  • Manage day-to-day procurement for specific direct material groups to support manufacturing

  • Source and introduce new suppliers, conduct analysis, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and timely purchasing

  • Identify and initiate change management projects which proactively secures Littelfuse from market changes and enable to implement possible improvements

  • Source materials following established purchasing policies and procedures to optimize price, delivery, and payment terms with minimum supervision.

  • Provide Procurement support to achieve MCS (Material Cost Saving) target

  • Responsible for payment term negotiation to achieve DPO (Days Payables Outstanding) target.

Collaborate with internal teams:

  • Coach and manage the daily work activities of a team of procurement coordinators and/or assistants; have accountability for the performance of the team.

  • Work to support on supply chain related topics to ensure stable supply

  • Provide the Procurement function in the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change (ECO) process in an exceptionally timely way to Prevent NPI/ECO delays that could have negative demand fulfillment support ramifications or loss of New Business.

  • Work together with a global procurement team in order to meet common goals, including supplier consolidation, category management and etc.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics or mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical background

  • At least 5 years in procurement, purchasing or sourcing suppliers

  • Strong technical and analytical skills with high attention to detail, and a knowledge in plastics processing and machining center would be a plus

  • Understanding drawings and have strong knowledge of purchased products cost structure and production process, be able to negotiate on cost breakdown data and initiate cost optimization projects

  • Experience working in global manufacturing companies would be beneficial

  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus but not required

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Clear and effective communication skills

  • Willingness to learn new procurement strategies and deepen the knowledge in technical products’ understanding
