What You Will Be Doing
The Social Work Graduates across the program will be supported by a structured education program, individualised learning plan and group supervision peer models. A successful applicant will move into either the Child and Youth stream, the Aged Mental Health stream or Adult Mental Health stream where a six-month rotation between either inpatient, residential or community services will occur. With a protected workload, weekly supervision and regular educational opportunities, this 12-month role commecing in February 2026 is designed to enable and support transition to mental health practice and provide opportunities for ongoing employment within mental health services at Peninsula Health on completion.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Bachelor or Qualifying Master’s degree (MSWq) in social work enabling eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
• A sound understanding and interest in the provision of social work services to people with mental health issues.
• Knowledge of current social work practices relevant to mental health and an ability to articulate theoretical basis for practice.

*Please refer to salary circular for VICTORIAN PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
