About the opportunity
Be a part of our progressive team of Associate Midwifery Unit Managers at Werribee Mercy Hospital working across our Maternity service. This includes rotations through our 9 bed Birthing Suite and 24 bed Postnatal Unit, Maternity Assessment Unit and Pregnancy Day stay.
• Part time, full time fixed term and permanent positions available
• Form an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide highly responsive and flexible care to women and their families ensuring a holistic approach
• Role model behaviours and practice within the core values of Mercy Health, whilst upholding a high level of professionalism
• Expand personal growth and development through clinical leadership and improvement projects.
• Flexibility required across the 24-hour rotational roster
What you’ll bring

You have excellent clinical judgement and skills, proficient time management and organisational skills. We are seeking AMUM's who contribute to and support the strategic direction and management of the Maternity Services.
• Recent AMUM experience desirable
• Positive proactive leadership and role modelling
• The role supports the Midwifery Unit Managers and the wider midwifery team. The ability to work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team is essential
• Promote excellence in clinical practice and woman centred care
• Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum 3 years Midwifery experience
• Level 3 RANZCOG
• Demonstrate credentialing for other clinical skills including IV cannulation, suturing and newborn discharge examination
• A commitment to women centred care

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
