WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal Trails End Café Bartender for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Trails End Café team, enhancing the guest's dining experience by providing beverages based on the guest's order in a relaxed environment.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Welcome each bar guest personally within 30 seconds
- Communicate with guests and make them feel welcome
- Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked at all times
- Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes
- Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change
- Attend to customers seated in bar area, veranda & pool area
- Clear tables of dishes, glassware, and debris. Circulate pool area when in-season; checking guests needs and removing dishes, empty beverageware, and take out containers.
- Keep bottle and glass inventory displayed in an organized, tidy manner
- Be attentive! Offer your assistance before the guests must ask for it
- Count drinks guests are served
- Anticipate your guest's needs. Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge the guest so they know you will be right with them
- Responsible service of alcohol. Determine when a customer has had too much to drink. Should a guest reach the state you do not feel they should drive, ask for management intervention or security if necessary
- Comply with uniform policies, which can change seasonally.
- Welcome and train new staff members
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM ALL BCMR TEAM MEMBERS:
- Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
- Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: weekends, holidays and special events
- Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
- Understand emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
- Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
- Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor
