Position Title: Lead Lift Operator 

Reports To: Lift Operations Manager 

Employment Status: Winter Seasonal; Full Time 

Job Summary: 

Lead lift operator is a fulltime seasonal winter position. Lead operators are responsible for managing their designated lift and crew while ensuring the safety of our guests and staff while loading, riding, and unloading the chairlifts according to all protocols.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Lead a four-to-five-person crew while maintaining a positive environment.
• Ensuring that the required daily paperwork is filled out entirely.
• Communicate the needs of the lift to supervisors, such as daily lift logs, tools, and snow blower fuel. 
• They have a clear idea of how their lift and area should be maintained and must be able to delegate responsibilities to the crew so this can be achieved.
• Will ensure that their lift shacks stay clean and garbage free daily.
• Proper daily set-up and tear-down of lift lines.
• Timely issuing of operator ride breaks and workstation rotations.
• Help ensure a healthy environment, i.e., your operators are fed, hydrated, dry, and warm up when needed.
• Able to answer questions and educate guests on resort policies and procedures 

• Escalate guest complaints or concerns directly to a supervisor or manager. 
• Fulfill all regular responsibilities and expectations of a lift operator

Job Qualifications: 

• Previous winter lift operations experience required.
• Have a working knowledge of Pulaski’s, rakes, shovels, ice scrapers, drills, mallets, snow scoops, and snow blowers.

Other Requirements: 

• Work five days a week, including weekends.
• Be on time.
• Have reliable means of getting to work.
• Able to work a full shift, and in sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Be able to lift 50lbs, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp, feel, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions.
