General Manager – Plum Market Food Service – Eppley Airfield

About the Role:
The General Manager is responsible for leading all operations at an assigned Plum Market food bar location within Eppley Airfield. This role ensures exceptional guest service, operational excellence, and strong financial performance. The General Manager oversees Team Member development, daily service execution, inventory control, and compliance with airport and company standards. This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food, service, and team culture.
What you will do:
- Oversee daily operations of the food bar, ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest-focused service.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team through training, motivation, and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all airport regulations and food safety standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory, control costs, and monitor product rotation and stocking procedures.
- Schedule and manage Team Member shifts to ensure optimal coverage and labor efficiency.
- Resolve guest concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor financial performance and drive results through attention to margin, labor, and waste reduction.
- Partner with leadership and support teams to meet operational goals and implement best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security standards throughout the location.
- Represent Plum Market values and service standards to guests, vendors, and airport partners.
What you will bring:
- Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in food service, retail, or hospitality.
- Proven success managing high-volume operations and leading diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of inventory systems, basic financial reports, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain airport badging.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working in an airport or transportation hub environment.
- ServSafe or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale and back-office systems.
- Bilingual communication is a plus.
