Great Parks is seeking a skilled Golf Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Sharon Woods Golf Course in Blue Ash, Ohio. At Great Parks, our team members work together to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.
As a Golf Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the course is in top condition for our guests. Your primary goal will be to maintain the course's greens, fairways, and roughs to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This is a part-time position that requires a flexible schedule, including early mornings and weekends.
This role requires skills in equipment operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that the course is in top condition and knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices to diagnose and treat common issues. Additionally, the successful candidate will need to communicate effectively with the Golf Course Superintendent and other team members to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
The successful candidate will perform the following:
- Maintain the golf course's greens, fairways, and roughs to the highest standards
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including mowers, tractors, and hand tools
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as watering, fertilizing, and aerating the course
- Assist with special projects, such as course renovations and landscaping
- Communicate effectively with the Golf Course Superintendent and other team members to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
QUALIFICATION:
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- An example of an acceptable qualification is: High School Diploma or GED required with some prior related experience in facilities, equipment, golf course or grounds maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
LICENSE OF CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets GPHC current carrier guidelines
