POSITION OVERVIEW:

 The Warehouse Truck Driver will be responsible for safely transporting Inventory from one warehouse to another. The ideal candidate will have experience as a truck and forklift driver, the ability to use power tools, and a proven track record of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The driver will also assist in all aspects of warehouse responsibilities, such as delivery, shipping, and receiving.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Load and unload cargo at warehouses, utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed

    Move Inventory using the company’s Truck within all our Guardian Fall sites 

    Maintain accurate logs and records, including miles driven, fuel consumption, and delivery times

    Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading of cargo

    Maintain a daily delivery route as defined by company standards

    Follow company procedures on delivery and check-in of product

    Ensure all orders are delivered accurately and timely

    Ensure all invoices are returned daily

    Ensure the Truck is maintained and operated as defined by WSDOT standards

    Daily inspection performed on a delivery truck, and proper documentation completed

    Daily cleaning of the delivery truck (inside)

    Inventories and keeps track of tools and equipment as needed

    Unloads product by hand, with the use of hand truck, pallet jack and forklift.

    Inspects received goods, notes, and reports of any damage/discrepancies or short-ships to management.

    Stages and palletizes products in the warehouse.

    Consolidates stock pallets/ replenishes consumed stock quantities.

    Understands and uses computers to control Inventory through our ERP system.

    Maintains a high degree of accuracy when transferring stock quantities.

    Repackages product in damaged boxes.

    Follows receiving and material transfer policies.

    Maintains organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.

    Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

    Valid driver license must have a clean MVR.

    Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. 

    Clean driving record. 

    2 years’ experience driving 18’-26’ box/flatbed trucks.

    2 years’ experience working knowledge of distribution/warehouse flow.

    Reliable Transportation.

    Steel Toed boots/shoes (required).

    Quick learner – learn by hands on training

    Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks. 

    Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. 

    Effective written and oral communication skills; demonstrated excellent organizational skills.

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Understand and comply with all plant Safety Rules, including the OSHA Regulations that are applicable.

    Certificates, licenses and registrations perferred:  

o    Forklift Certified


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:


This position requires lifting cases weighing from 20-60 pounds repeatedly over 8 or more hours in a workday; as well as loading, pushing, and pulling heavy products: bending, reaching, climbing and squatting throughout the shift while loading and moving products.
