Seattle Radiology is hiring a Patient Services Representative (PSR) II.  This position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented, and outgoing individual. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clear communication, accurate scheduling, registration, check-in procedures, timelines in work and attention to detail. 

Location: Seattle Radiology is located on a narrow strip of land between the salt waters of the Puget Sound and the fresh waters of Lake Washington, Seattle is known for its bustling waterfront, lush evergreen forests and the picturesque backdrop of the San Juan Islands. Just beyond the water are two rugged mountain ranges, the Olympics to the west and the cascades to the east.

Hourly wage range is $21.24 - $29.99/hourly. Wage is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to direct job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Position Summary:

Responsible for verifying patient information, scheduling exams, managing records, and delivering excellent customer service to ensure efficient patient flow. Supports front desk operations, assists team members, and adapts in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and timely service.

  • Supports the patient process in scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and other front desk duties in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance/billing information
  • Process patient payments and co-pays, and provide receipts
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries regarding services, scheduling, and preparation for radiologic exams.
  • Process medical records as applicable
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs a variety of clerical functions that support the overall Imaging Center
  • Adapt to changes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Assist co-workers daily to ensure smooth operations and team-oriented success
  • Maintain professional correspondence with both internal staff and external providers
  • Knowledge to respond to patient questions regarding routine billing and insurance matters
  • Ability to address patient feedback and escalate as needed to the appropriate team member or supervisor.
  • Ability to meet or exceed performance metrics, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service position, required.  
  • Minimum of 1-2 years medical office experience.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy rules 
  • Knowledge of medical insurance, required
  • Must be very proficient in computer skills, multi-tasking and working with several software programs at the same time
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor in appearance and behavior in all work-related interactions
