Summary:
The Laboratory Specialist is responsible for inspecting and monitoring the day-to-day production quality of our product to ensure the highest quality standards are met. This is accomplished through rigorous testing and raw material CofA (Certificate of Analysis) results, participation in the Flow Improver Team (FIT) meetings and working in coordination with the shift lab operators and R&D technicians. The Laboratory Specialist receives functional guidance from the Manufacturing Quality Manager. The role is not limited to the above-mentioned responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position.
Typical Functions and Responsibilities:
- Performs tests of varying complexity using standard procedures
- Analyze and interpret test results and recommend necessary corrective actions
- Adheres to quality control policies and periodically assess procedures to identify problems that may adversely affect test performance
- Document and record testing measures
- Ensure lab procedures are current
- Maintains and calibrates equipment and instrumentation through routine maintenance and trouble shooting
- Conduct inventory of all laboratory supplies
- Control Chart developer/reviewer
- Monitor raw materials to ensure they are within normal specifications
- Provide TA (Test Authorization) support
- Process SAP requisitions for lab materials
- Provide project support for QC lab
- Follows all safety procedures

Education & Experience:
