OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Turret Operator II to perform line/cell assembly duties or operate machines according to product specifications to produce components either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled. Works in Assembly, Press, Turret, Laser, Pem, CNC, Deburring, Tapping, or Brake departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs bench or line type processes or operates machines to complete assemblies and subassemblies
- Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices and/or other subcomponents
- Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
- Operates lift equipment as needed
- Uses precision measuring tools as required
- Verifies accuracy of assembled product or batch inspects as required
- Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or assembled products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Understand and read blueprints
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence
- Proficient at adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
