Job Description
The Recreational Coordinator duties and responsibilities will consist of assisting the RAC leadership in the oversight of the RAC�s day-to-day operation as well as sports competitions and campus recreation activities. The Recreational Coordinator will assist the RAC leadership in organizing, executing, and promoting all RAC activities.
Key Responsibilities
-
Welcome and orient visitors to the RAC and SWBTS campus, clearly explaining facility guidelines and encouraging engagement in recreational activities.

Oversee the safe use of all RAC-managed areas including the gym, weight room, and aerobics room; address disputes and enforce campus/RAC policies with professionalism and courtesy.

Organize, lead, and promote all RAC-sponsored programs and events by engaging students and staff, collaborating with campus departments, and supporting event setup and execution.

Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries via RAC email, phone, and calendar management.

Attend team meetings with RAC leadership to review policies, procedures, and address operational matters.

Step up to oversee and run RAC operations in the absence of the RAC Manager or other leadership staff.

Communicate effectively with instructors, referees, and other partners; assist with activity support and submit necessary contracts and invoices for third-party personnel to RAC leadership.

Process sales of RAC concessions, memberships, and rentals accurately.

Handle transactions for snacks, beverages, and other retail items for RAC patrons.

Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked facility; monitor inventory levels and notify leadership in advance of supply needs or repairs.

Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the overall operations and mission of the RAC.
Supervisory/Leadership/Stewardship Responsibilities:

Manage the control desk team by overseeing scheduling, answering questions, and supporting daily front desk operations.

Coordinate and oversee sports tournaments and intramural competitions, including registration, scheduling, team communication, score reporting, and awards.

Ensure smooth event flow by working closely with referees, volunteers, and support staff.

Monitor tournament logistics and troubleshoot issues on-site to minimize disruptions and maintain a positive participant experience.

Track participation data and provide event summaries or feedback reports to RAC leadership.

Pursue ongoing personal and professional growth in leadership and overall ministry effectiveness..
Qualifications and Skills
-
High School level education completion.
-
Customer Service experience preferred.
-
Ability to learn and work with Microsoft Suite, payment software, and gym systems.
-
Experience in principles, procedures of recreational & sport activities required.
-
Ability to demonstrate safe use as well as proper techniques of weight equipment required.

Ability to handle cash with accuracy and integrity.
-
Successful completion of background check, education verification, work verification and credit check may be required.

Ability to provide valid proof of identity and Work Authorization in the U.S.
Physical Requirements

Works in an office environment.

Sits for extended periods of time.

Uses near-visual acuity in reading written documents and statistical data.

Uses keyboard devices and a computer monitor.

Utilizes analytical capabilities to gather data, provide support and resolve conflicts.

Must be able to carry up to 45 pounds of parts and equipment.

Must be able to perform occasional overhead reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and kneeling and climb 6� ladder.

Ability to work inside or outside.
