The first GTA charter, Mare Island Technology Academy Middle and High Schools, was founded in 2001, later adding Griffin Academy Middle and High Schools in 2018. GTA Schools serve students in grades 6-12.

The schools also provide students with access to technology resources, including laptops and tablets. Students in High School have the opportunity for community service and internships overseen by our Work-Based Learning Coordinator (WBL).
What makes our schools special is the partnership between families, community, and educators - each committed to preparing students to become active and responsible citizens in a diverse society by engaging students in a challenging curriculum that provides a solid foundation of academic skills in a safe learning environment.
