Job Summary

CTE Teacher supports students in mastering basic business principles and procedures. The Accounting Fundamental/Bookkeeping Certification and QuickBooks Online Certification equip students with practical skills in managing financial records, which is essential for various accounting and finance roles, including becoming an entrepreneur. Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: CA Teaching Credential with Business & Finance authorization. Career Technical Education Credential with Business and Finance authorization Teaching and training, experience preferred in Bookkeeping and Quickbooks Certification This course explains bookkeeping and accounting. It provides a fundamental knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping and accounting concepts, processes, methods, procedures, and controls bookkeepers should comprehend. QuickBooks certification validates a student's knowledge and skills in using. The certification program equips students with practical skills in managing financial records, which is essential for various accounting and finance roles, including becoming an entrepreneur. Develop and present lesson plans. Prepare a course outline and syllabus stating the class goals, course content, classroom policies and procedures and methods of evaluation. Use a variety of instructional techniques and materials including online resources that are appropriate to the course and accommodate all learning styles. Administer assessments to measure student progress. Create a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and prepare them for transitioning into postsecondary education, and or vocational and community goals. Maintain current and accurate records of student attendance. Participate in required, Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings.

Salary Info

$55.70 Hourly Rate* *The District will recognize prior service credit for new hires who have previously taught at SMUHSD in the Adult School Program. Hourly Salary Range: $53.56-$68.36
