About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and innovative leader to drive the next generation of professional mixer products, with a focus on the Soundcraft business. This role oversees both product development and engineering, leading the Mixer GPLM and R&D teams to deliver on the defined technology, platform, and product roadmap.The Executive Director, GPLM and R&D, will lead a team of 5 highly skilled technical and professional experts.What You Will DoLead a global mixer engineering organization to ensure effective execution of the Technology, Platform, and Product roadmap.Align closely with R&D, Product Management, and Sales to drive the mixer strategy and deliver innovative, market-leading product solutions.Own the full mixer product roadmap, including make-or-buy decisions and integration of acquired or licensed technologies.Champion cross-functional collaboration across business units, R&D, and operations to support business planning and strategic growth.Oversee the successful launch of technologies and products, ensuring readiness across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.Manage the full product lifecycle—from concept to end-of-life—while continuously improving engineering processes and resource planning.Conducts regularly scheduled BU/category business reviews with key select customers to ensure alignment to Harman direction and pricing.Develop and execute sales plan as part of Harman’s operating plan providing detailed and accurate sales forecasts.  Accountable for bridge to forecasts vs. actual results globally. Develop, drive and direct information and data related to key customers and new prospects.Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions to remain in front of market changes and trends.Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful channel and partner programs to drive sell through and optimize profitability.Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team; attract and develop top talent while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.What You Need to Be Successful15+ years leading complex, global projects across pre-development and product engineering, with a strong track record in mixer product innovation and commercialization.Proven ability to manage global teams and external partners, fostering collaboration across engineering, product, and business functions.Deep technical knowledge in mixer engineering, including integration of third-party technologies and strategic guidance across product lifecycles.Skilled in balancing R&D investment with long-term profitability; understands market dynamics and product positioning.Adept at engaging stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally; communicates complex technical concepts with clarity and influence.A forward-thinking, principled leader who mentors talent, drives innovation, and builds high-performing teams.Bonus Points if You Have Master’s or PhDWhat Makes You EligibleBe willing to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally travelBe willing to work in a hybrid setting, with occasional commute to Northridge, CASuccessfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employmentWhat We OfferFlexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer locationAccess to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN UniversityCompetitive wellness benefitsTuition reimbursement“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards programAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development#LI-HYBRID
