Position Duties
- Operates various heavy equipment such as tandem truck for hauling heavy loads, asphalt and paving equipment, backhoe, power broom, miller box and weed mowers.
- Performs general labor requiring on construction and maintenance projects.
- Performs snowplowing and sanding.
- Performs vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure a safe operating condition.
- Performs traffic control, flagging, and signing for projects.
- Completes tasks in support of road maintenance to include carpentry work, fence installation, jack hammering, painting, erosion and drainage control, tree trimming, grounds maintenance, cattle guard replacements, refuge removal, weed mowing/control.
- Monitors and accounts for materials usage.
- Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Colorado Driver’s License with tanker and air brake endorsements required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred. Minimum of three years of heavy equipment operating experience in the road maintenance/road construction industry preferred.
Must successfully pass background check. Must be able to pass post job offer physical screening.
