Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing repairs as needed. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, optimizing productivity, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other mechanical components
- Assist with setup, calibration, and programming of Fanuc robotic systems (preferred)
- Support basic troubleshooting and modifications of Allen Bradley PLC-controlled equipment (preferred)
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using a CMMS
- Demonstrate initiative and reliability by proactively identifying and resolving maintenance issues
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Experience with industrial equipment such as conveyors, gear drives, valves, and actuators
- Preferred experience with:
- Fanuc Robots (programming, troubleshooting, maintenance)
- Allen Bradley PLCs (basic troubleshooting, I/O verification)
- Automated conveyor systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and manuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field is preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
