SUMMARY
Manages and directs the Operations site toward its primary quality objectives, based on product and profitability goals, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Guide the organization to follow the quality policy and principles.
- Actively communicate, support, and drive the quality goals and strategies, to motivate the organization towards a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Supervises and manages all quality-related activities at the site with the goal to continuously maintain and improving customer satisfaction.
- Communicates actively with external and internal stakeholders, as well as internal functions and members within the organization to drive quality improvement.
- Supports the investigation of customer and internal customer complaints for appropriate customer issue resolution based on severity or the complaint and customer requirements, up to and including containment processes and corrective and preventive actions.
- Supports the investigation of quality nonconformities relating to vendor products, process, and service issues.
- Support company strategies and lead in site quality improvement processes, utilizing various tools including RCCA, 5 Whys, and COPQ metrics.
- Leads and or participates in customer, external and vendor audits and improvement efforts.
- Responsible for facility ISO controls and protocols.
- Responsible for maintaining all necessary product inspection equipment, including calibration and maintenance.
Managerial Responsibilities:
Directly manages local quality as applicable. Reviews the structure of the quality organization and implements new ideas to lead the team towards doing things right. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and COMPENTENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent work experience in Six Sigma practices.
- Lean Manufacturing
- The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and SAP.
