Position Description:
This position is responsible for set-up and service of school lunch meals in an elementary or charter school, according to planned menus, and is responsible for any records desired by the base kitchen manager.
Special Requirements: (Certification, training, specialty skills or previous experience)
1. Knowledgeable in the procedures involved in meal service in a satellite kitchen.
2. Familiar with the operation and basic maintenance of equipment found in a school kitchen.
3. Ability to learn and maintain records.
4. Ability to learn and prepare daily work schedules and supervise students and regular staff personnel where applicable.
5. Ability to cooperate and create a good atmosphere with student and adult clients.
6. Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
7. Must have a clean and neat appearance.
8. Bilingual applicants desired, but not required.
9. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
10. Must have a current food handlers card.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER DAY: 6.0 HOURS PER DAY
NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED PER SCHOOL YEAR: 178 DAYS PER YEAR
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $17.52 - $24.65 PER HOUR (RANGE 8)
