Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle.

Provides pediatric dental care to examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums within Seattle Children's Odessa Brown Children's Clinic's (OBCC) Dental Clinic and any of its associated locations. May treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth. May fit dental appliances or provide preventive care, evaluate tooth and jaw development and growth. May serve as a clinical attending providing supervision, training and education to both pediatric and general practice dental residents that treat patients in our clinic. Provides clinical training, education, and support for other healthcare learners from additional schools and programs, and within the community. May serve as lead provider of clinical operations of the dental clinic as needed.

Compensation: $95.38-118.20, hourly

  

Required Education and Experience
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or DMD (Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD), or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDM)Minimum of three (3) years of clinical dental experience working with pediatric/adolescent patientsExperience with medically, developmentally and socially complex pediatric patients.Experience working with diverse cultures and socioeconomic groups.Knowledge and practice in providing Trauma informed care to patients and families.

Required Credentials
Licensed Dentist in the State of Washington.Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Seattle Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Seattle Children's.Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Seattle Children’s as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.Questions regarding medical or allied health professional staff privileges may be directed to Medical Staff Services.Active certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred
Advanced training as a General Practice Resident (GPR)Advanced education and/or experience in education and/or research.Advocacy or contributions within organized dentistry and/or community health programs.

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
