Shodair Children’s Hospital provides compassionate, specialized care for children and adolescents. We’re seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who are passionate about mental health, pediatric care, and teamwork.
Role Overview
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, LPNs provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and support individualized treatment plans. This role ensures patient safety, supervises Mental Health Technicians, and helps create a therapeutic environment for healing and growth.
Key Duties
- Deliver direct care and administer medications.
- Assist with daily routines and therapeutic programming.
- Implement physician orders and treatment plans.
- Supervise and support Mental Health Technicians.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized care areas.
- Document and report patient behaviors and status changes.
- Use crisis intervention skills to ensure patient and staff safety.

Requirements
- Current LPN license in Montana or Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- CPR certification & valid Montana driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible shifts/schedules and manage physically demanding situations.
- Background check required.
- (Preferred) 6+ months psychiatric or pediatric nursing experience.
