Western National is seeking a Principal Human Resources Systems Analyst to join our team!


The individual in this role will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining the Workday HCM platform to support efficient and effective Human Resources (HR) operations. They will collaborate with HR, IT, finance, and business stakeholders to configure business processes, ensure data accuracy, and deliver meaningful reporting and insights. They will also lead Workday HCM implementations and enhancements, ensuring the system's functionality aligns with strategic HR and organizational goals.

What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?

  • Configure, test, and deploy enhancements and business processes in Workday HCM.
  • Serve as the SME for Workday HCM, providing guidance and training to HR and business users.
  • Monitor and resolve system issues and recommend and implement improvements.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports (e.g., Advanced, Matrix, Composite) and dashboards.
  • Ensure data integrity through audits and support of HR data governance.
  • Design and streamline business processes in alignment with compliance and policy.
  • Lead and support Workday HCM implementations, module rollouts, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify configuration strategies and system improvements.

What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, information systems, or a related field.
  • Eight to ten years of experience working in HR.
  • Five or more years of hands-on experience working with HRIS with experience in multiple areas, including payroll, time, benefits, compensation, recruiting, learning, and talent.
  • One to three years of Workday HCM experience.
  • Strong experience in configuring Workday HCM business processes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain Workday reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Requirements

What will our ideal candidate have?

  • Experience in at least one full-cycle Workday implementation.
  • Experience in Workday security role management.
  • Experience rolling out HR system changes to organizational users. 

Compensation overview

The full hiring range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000, annually, in addition to being eligible for an annual performance bonus.  However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate, as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
