WATG is hiring a Technology Procurement & Project Manager for our office in Dallas, Texas.

ROLE

The Technology Procurement & Project Manager oversees the end-to-end procurement of all technology-related products, software, and services, ensuring optimal value and quality in the procurement processes. The position manages vendor relationships, negotiates contracts, and stays informed about market trends in purchasing decisions. The Technology Procurement & Project Manager serves as project manager, leading various technology initiatives related to procurement while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable their successful execution within budget and timelines. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Procurement Management

  • Manages all hardware, software, and system purchases and licensing, and participates in contract negotiations for software and hardware replacements
  • Researches and evaluates prospective technology vendors, consultants, service providers, and suppliers, and manages their relationships and contracts
  • Estimates and establishes cost parameters and budgets for purchases
  • Requests quotes and compares prices for maximum ROI
  • Places and receives orders and collaborates with team members on invoicing and other financial matters
  • Updates the asset management system (Manage Engine, or other systems), maintaining an accurate registry of subscriptions, mobile devices, hardware, and software
  • Proposes annual technology purchasing budget, generates monthly purchasing summaries, and tracks budget expenditures
  • Manages mobile device service accounts and the associated enterprise mobility contract

 Project Coordination

  • Leads and manages technology procurement projects from initiation to completion
  • Develops project plans and provides regular progress updates to stakeholders
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Supports the Director of Information Technology and Managing Principal, Digital Practice with project management of various technology initiatives

Continuous Development

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement in procurement and technology project management practices
  • Drives continuous improvement in procurement workflows using automation, AI tools, and Enterprise systems
  • Recommends and Implements best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintains accurate documentation and audit trails for all technology acquisitions, tests, and trials

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or project management within a service-oriented, client-centric organization
  • Experience with licensing agreements, such as Microsoft, Autodesk, Adobe
  • Ability to build relationships with technology vendors, team, and employees at various levels
  • Proficiency in asset management systems and project management tools, such as MS Project, Trello, and Asana
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Experience driving successful change management and process improvement and automation
  • Knowledge of archiving and information management processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Relationship builder with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
