The Market & Liquidity Analytics unit plays a central role in enabling Eurex’s senior and sales management to navigate complex market environments and commercial priorities. We deliver high-impact business intelligence across asset classes, providing transparency on business performance, market developments, and liquidity dynamics. Our insights guide strategic initiatives such as the partnership program and help shape commercial strategy through targeted analysis. With deep business expertise and a strong data foundation, we own key data domains and drive cross-functional intelligence efforts. Through our work, we identify growth opportunities, monitor revenue trends, and contribute to enterprise-wide data initiatives—ensuring consistency, innovation, and informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our enterprise-wide data strategy, with a strong focus on implementing Data Mesh principles and a robust Data Governance Target Operating Model (TOM). You will serve as a subject matter expert for the data domain, ensuring alignment between business functionality, data product architecture and strategic initiatives across Eurex & DBAG. Embedded within the Market & Liquidity Analytics unit, you will contribute directly to the delivery of high-impact business intelligence by ensuring data consistency, quality, and accessibility across key commercial and strategic workflows.

Your responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the data domain strategy, ensuring alignment with the enterprise data vision and supporting key initiatives across Eurex and DBAG
  • Drive the implementation of Data Mesh principles, enabling federated data ownership while ensuring consistency, interoperability, and governance
  • Support the Data Governance Target Operating Model, assuming key roles that uphold data quality, lineage, and compliance with governance standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and organizational alignment
  • Manage data catalog operations ensuring accurate metadata and end-to-end data lineage to support data discoverability and transparency
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration, drive alignment, and support continuous improvement across data governance initiatives

 

Your profile:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related quantitative or technical field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within data governance and management
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, including data quality management, data classification, and stewardship practices
  • Familiarity with data management technologies, data modeling, and data integration concepts
  • Experience with Data Mesh frameworks and/or data catalog tools such as Atlan, or similar platforms is a strong advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential; German language skills are a plus
