JOB TITLE:?Lunchroom Support/Cashier
DEPARTMENT: Student Support
REPORTS TO: School Resource Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
JOB SUMMARY:?To ensure the health, safety and welfare of students in the cafeteria by providing assistance and supervision to children during their lunch period to maintain a safe and orderly environment, primarily as cashier.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church.
· Accepts and supports the school’s statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God’s direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School.
· Must be at least 16 years of age
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Personality conducive to positive public relations work with students, staff, administrators and patrons.
· Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
· Maintain consistent, punctual attendance
· 1 year of experience with school aged children, preferred but not required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operates point of sale register to ensure proper lunch charges
· Provides excellent customer service
· Assists lunchroom monitors supervising students in the lunchroom during lunch periods
· Assists students with needs during their lunch period
· Cleans up between lunch periods and at the end of lunch?as well as instructing and monitoring students to clean up after themselves so that a clean environment is maintained in the lunchroom
· Maintains discipline in the lunchroom according to school policies
· Reports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority as soon as reasonably possible
· Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
· Participate in meetings, devotions, professional learning community and in-service as required
· Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality
· Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective and calm course of action
· Facilitates positive, productive interactions during lunch including conflict-resolution
· Ability to properly administer first aid if necessary
· Performs all other duties as assigned
WORK REQUIREMENTS
· Part time, non-exempt position based upon the school year calendar.
· Hourly wage as outlined in the annual at-will employment letter.
