Join the Trading team at SummitTX Capital, a multi-PM, multi-strategy, equity-oriented market neutral / low net hedge fund with assets under management (AUM) over $3 billion. Our firm has achieved consistent growth and established itself as a leading player in the multi-manager segment of the hedge fund industry. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Trader. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Trading.
Responsibilities:
- Execute trades with precision and efficiency, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide daily market insights and commentary to Portfolio Managers (PMs), both proactively and in response to requests.
- Perform transaction cost analysis (TCA) to monitor execution quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with brokers to establish and optimize execution routes, staying current with algorithmic trading developments.
- Support PMs and Analysts by conducting ad hoc research and analysis as required.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with sell-side counterparties and trading partners.
- Coordinate with brokers and operations teams to address trade settlement and post-trade inquiries.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong passion for financial markets and trading.

- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 1–2 years of trading experience, or relevant exposure within operations or back-office functions.
- Coding or quantitative skills (e.g., Python, R, SQL, VBA) are advantageous.
- Familiarity with derivatives and an understanding of their role in portfolio management.
Compensation:
- Base Salary Range: $100k to $175k per year, contingent on experience
- Discretionary annual bonus eligible
