MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree.
- Must possess a valid Michigan Permanent, Continuing, Provisional, or Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics and/or Science.
- A valid administrative certification is preferred.
- Strong curriculum and instructional background required.
- Working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and College and Career Readiness Standards.
- Familiarity with educational research and assessment.
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills and possess the ability to interact positively with a broad spectrum of individuals and organizations.
- Proven ability to work effectively with students, staff, administration, parents, booster clubs, organizations, and the community in general.
PERFORMANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIILITIES (summary includes but is not limited to the following):
- Coordinates the District Mathematics and Science curriculum in grades PK-12.
- Facilitates curriculum development through collaboration with instructional supervisors, coaches, and professional learning communities.
- Promotes, advocates for, designs, develops, and assists in the implementation and evaluation of curriculum for PK-12 education.
- Collaborates with teachers in professional learning communities to construct learning opportunities for students based on best practices for personalized mastery and competency in the standards.
- Facilitates/provides professional development and models effective, research-based teaching practices.
- Assists in the review, evaluation, and analysis of test results.
- Implements, manages, and evaluates various curriculum and instruction projects at the direction of the Director of Curriculum, Alternative, and Adult Education.
- Help supervise all tiers of the instructional program at assigned schools, working across content areas to aid individual staff members to improve instructional skills; provide information and leadership in the development and implementation of school level-goals, action plans, instructional techniques nd innovative practices.
- Serves as the STEAM Coordinator and supports the district's STEAM program.
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum, Alternative, and Adult Education.
REQUIREMENTS:
Newly hired employees must satisfactorily pass:

ANNUAL SALARY:
$70,000 grant funding dependent. Exceptional administrative fringe benefits available.
RETENTION BONUS:
$10,000 bonus available for the 2025-2026 school year, grant funding dependent.
