OVERVIEW:
The role requires 1 day per week in our Madison, WI headquarters OR the Leawood, KC office.
Essential responsibilities of the Deposit Operations Specialist:
- Set up and maintain lockbox, sweeps, and accounts.
- Balance accounts and verify system updates.
- Handle check adjustments, exceptions, fraud, and wire transfers.
- Manage documentation and support electronic banking clients.
- Respond to maintenance and quality control requests.
- Assist clients with online banking and wire transfers.
- Communicate with internal teams and vendors.
- Support new product rollouts and train team members.
- Maintain and update procedures.
- Prioritize deadline driven tasks and support team needs.
- Communicate team needs during high-risk processes.
- Adapt to changing volumes and staffing.
- Stay current on products, services, and compliance.
- Build expertise in deposit operations.
Position Requirements:
- 1+ years of banking experience required
- General knowledge of Federal and State banking laws and regulations governing checking and savings account practices
- Highly detail oriented
- Demonstrated success with written communication, and ability to assess and analyze information, formulate conclusions and recommendations
