OVERVIEW:

The role requires 1 day per week in our Madison, WI headquarters OR the Leawood, KC office.

As a Deposit Operations Specialist, this highly detailed role manages daily deposit functions including account maintenance, wire transfers, fraud and exception processing, and client support. By being part of a greater team with rotational tasks, this deadline driven role requires a multitasking mindset that is attuned to policy and procedures. 

Essential responsibilities of the Deposit Operations Specialist:

Deposit Operations (40%)
  • Set up and maintain lockbox, sweeps, and accounts.
  • Balance accounts and verify system updates.
  • Handle check adjustments, exceptions, fraud, and wire transfers.
  • Manage documentation and support electronic banking clients.
  • Respond to maintenance and quality control requests.
Client Support (15%)
  • Assist clients with online banking and wire transfers.
  • Communicate with internal teams and vendors.
Team Collaboration (15%)
  • Support new product rollouts and train team members.
  • Maintain and update procedures.
Workload Management (20%)
  • Prioritize deadline driven tasks and support team needs.
  • Communicate team needs during high-risk processes.
  • Adapt to changing volumes and staffing.
Professional Development (10%)
  • Stay current on products, services, and compliance.
  • Build expertise in deposit operations.

Position Requirements:

  • 1+ years of banking experience required
  • General knowledge of Federal and State banking laws and regulations governing checking and savings account practices
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Demonstrated success with written communication, and ability to assess and analyze information, formulate conclusions and recommendations
