Join our dynamic team as a Senior Autonomy Perception Engineer to develop and deploy real-time object detection, tracking, and filtering pipelines at ≥30 FPS on NVIDIA Jetson-class hardware for cutting-edge unmanned aircraft missions.
Responsibilities:
Model R&D
- Own end-to-end training and evaluation of object detectors (YOLO, ViT) and trackers (ByteTrack, EKF/UKF)
- Design and implement data augmentation pipelines and active learning loops in partnership with DataOps
Embedded Performance
- Quantize and compile models using TensorRT or TVM for edge deployment
- Profile runtime performance and optimize bottlenecks to meet compute and power constraints
Technical Leadership
- Draft RFCs and deliver clean, testable code in PyTorch and C++
- Provide technical mentorship and help shape the growing perception team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Robotics, Applied Mathematics or a related field – equivalent industry experience is also welcome
- 4+ years building computer vision of perception systems
- Deep experience with PyTorch/ONNX, TensorRT, and numerical linear algebra
- Strong proficiency in C++ or CUDA
- Familiarity with Kalman filtering (EKF, UKF, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to ship perfomant models on embedded systems
- Experience with GStreamer or Jetson BSP (preferred)
- Airborne ISR, autonomy, or unmanned systems domain knowledge (preferred)
