As an X-ray Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in diagnostic imaging across a variety of clinical settings. You’ll work independently and as part of a team to support accurate diagnoses and timely care, while ensuring safety and comfort for every patient.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform radiographic procedures using prescribed ionizing radiation
  • Apply independent judgment and initiative in a range of imaging environments including the emergency room, surgical suite, portables, and diagnostic imaging department
  • Adhere to safety protocols and responsibilities under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and KHSC policies
  • Provide coverage at KHSC’s Hotel Dieu Hospital Site as needed
  • Promote and support patient and family-centered care in all interactions

 

What You Bring

  • Completion of a recognized course in X-ray technology
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Competency in general radiology imaging equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Professional interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to confidentiality and patient-centered care
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly
  • Clear criminal reference and vulnerable sector check
