The Primary role will be to support the Health & Safety Manager with daily commitments, helping to promote a positive safety culture, collate KPI data, complete SHE reports, conduct safety walks, track actions and monitor completion times for Incidents, Accidents, Hazard and Near Miss reporting, conduct safety conversations with colleagues and maintain noticeboards / screens.
Secondary duties will be to support fleet management, with filing, monitoring the fleet management system, monitoring VOR reports and assisting in booking service and MOT inspections. Occasional support with operational duties.
- Take part in talk safety conversations
- Monitor events uploaded onto Eco Online – Airsweb and ensure completion of investigations for accidents, incidents, near misses
- Carry out SHE audits / inspections as required
- Ensure adherence to accident / incident investigation procedures
- Manage the closure of non-conformances and corrective actions arising from investigations, inspections risk assessments and Inspection / MOT failures
- Support with keeping the SHE and fleet management systems up to date
- Assist the SHE team by collating weekly and monthly management information
- Attend and minute the site SHE committee meetings
- Coordinate and minute other SHE meetings
- Engagement of site SHE representatives.
- Daily, weekly and monthly communication of incidents, planned maintenance and VOR reports
- Attending daily handover meetings
- Ensure that site risk assessments and SSOW are reviewed in a timely manner.
- Support & assist Team Managers with day-to-day H&S / fleet related queries
Maintain and manage accident / incident and vehicle files
- Ensure H&S and vehicle documents are filed and scanned
- Review risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work and ensure they are kept up to date
- Ensure H&S internal tracker and fleet management system is updated daily
- Delegation of actions to management regarding incident investigation, inspections, risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Will carry out any other H&S / Fleet support tasks as when required
